It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Accounting Manager.NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational schoolIntern BenefitsCompensation: depending on class level or experienceRoundtrip Airfare ProvidedHousingFood allowanceEssential Duties of Accounting Technician InternAssists with receiving and coding Accounts Payable invoices.Aids with entering financial transactions and reviewing accounts to ensure that the entries are suitable and balance out.Liaising with other employees in the field and writing reports.Entering, revising, sorting, calculating and creating tables using Microsoft Excel and other databases.Identifying account discrepancies and attempts to address any upcoming issues or areas of concern.Other related duties as assigned.NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational schoolEducation Level: Minimum Qualifications:Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.”Must be currently enrolled in college or technical/vocational schoolApplicant must be currently enrolled in an accounting or related degree seeking program.The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times while displaying a professional disposition.Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.A valid Driver’s licenseAt least 18 years of ageHigh school graduate or GEDMust be a US Citizen or show proof of right to work in the USMust be able to obtain airport badge with US Customs clearanceAble to read, write, speak and understand EnglishDemonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate mannerExtensive computer skills (familiarity with MS Word and Excel along with on-line banking software). Must be able to operate calculators and PC keyboards by touch.Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlines are met. Results oriented with the ability to respond to the needs of the department and Company.Sufficient reasoning abilities to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Math skills: Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.Reasoning Abilities:Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone console. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
