Job Summary: AIS is looking for a Supply Technician to work in Fort Benning, GA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Job Responsibilities: - Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. - Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual problems or requirements, together with applied standardized guidelines. - Assignments require a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. - Employee must understand the needs of the organization serviced and be able to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. - Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling very heavy parts and loads. Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required to work on equipment. - Maintains tools and equipment, such as banding and shipping equipment. Cleans work areas to maintain a safe work environment. Be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions when necessary. - Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and meet Government/Army standards when applicable. - Wearing safety items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, and other items such as aprons or outerwear as appropriate. - Employee is required to maintain a valid state-issued Driver’s license and applicable Government/Army license. - Perform other duties as required to support the mission and contractual requirements. - Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to the weather. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to, head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. - Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. - Excellent written and oral communications skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent attention to detail. - Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes. - Work well in a team environment and able to work with a diverse group of people. - Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material. - Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and all others in a courteous and professional manner. - Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
