Data Center Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician for a Contract job with a client in Eastover, SC (Hybrid). The candidate is responsible for resolving hardware and software issues within data centers and supporting servers, network, and security infrastructure.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Center Technician job responsibilities include:

• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within IT infrastructure, including Enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
• Performing high volume/low impact tasks efficiently with minimal guidance.
• Providing installation and break/fix support, including component replacement and operating system installation.
• Managing data center operations, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to ensure continued support activities.
• Utilizing software tools to perform day-to-day functions and troubleshooting in a Data Center IT Operations environment.
• Demonstrating hands-on knowledge of systems and policies in a data center setting.
• Maintaining communication with management and peers to ensure effective collaboration and documentation of daily activities.
• Willingness to travel, work weekends, and overtime as needed for installations or rack/stack events.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of technical experience in data center support or related roles.
• Basic understanding of storage theory, server layout, and network concepts.
• Proficiency in using software tools for troubleshooting and performing day-to-day data center tasks.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
