Director - Clinical Practice

The Director is responsible for ensuring that the delivery of the high standards of patient care mandated by the organization are met in the provision of services and in the interaction with patients, families, physicians, and other personnel. The Director will provide leadership to the clinical staff of the organization and manage all clinical human resources in areas of patient safety, staff competencies and training. The director will also provide input into the development of departmental policies and procedures as well as ensure that all activities comply with the organizations and outside regulatory agency requirements.

Responsibilities

Director - Clinical Practice

• Serves as project leader for clinical policies and procedures within the clinical care team.
• Develop clinical policies and procedures in collaboration with the clinical committee.
• Serves as a radiation safety officer providing training, documentation, and oversight of incidents.
• Oversee facility licensure and accreditations.
• Comply with clinical accreditation requirements and submission​ deadlines.
• Ensures that all technologists have current state or national licensures, as required.
• Provides or coordinates Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training for staff technologists.
• Performs clinic inspections of clinical departments.
• Assists with internal clinic inspections for corporate compliance.
• Participates in quality review and development.
• Coordinates student program rotations with operational leadership.
• Maintains high level of visibility and interaction with center personnel, radiologists, and support personnel.
• Performs other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Director - Clinical Practice

• Current ARRT (R); plus (CT) or (MR).
• State license, where required.
• ACLS certification.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• At least ten years’ experience in secondary modality
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of adaptability and problem-solving capabilities.
• The ability to interact with Radiologists, referring physicians, and center personnel while maintaining a high level of credibility in a demanding environment is of utmost importance.
