What You’ll Do:
• Offer outreach and education on mental health and substance use recovery.
• Provide peer support and encouragement to individuals in crisis.
• Guide patients in accessing treatment and community resources.
• Assist in group sessions, share coping strategies, and model wellness.
• Develop personalized recovery plans (IR/RP, WRAP) and track progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards.
What You Bring:
• Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED and 1–2 years in social services.
• Certification: Must have current Alabama Certified Peer Specialist certification.
• Lived Experience: Personal history of recovery from MH/SUD challenges and a strong understanding of the recovery process.
• Skills: Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
