We are looking for a sales floor associate with a strong retail and customer service background. Primary responsibilities to include greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, processing sales transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring a positive shopping experience within a retail environment; their duties often include stocking shelves, organizing displays, and promoting current sales promotions.
Key responsibilities of a sales floor associate:
- Customer service:Actively greet customers, engage them in conversation, and identify their needs to provide relevant product information and recommendations.
- Product knowledge:Possess detailed knowledge of the store's inventory, including features, benefits, and pricing to effectively answer customer inquiries.
- Sales generation:Promote current sales promotions, suggest add-on items, and actively work towards achieving sales goals.
- Merchandising:Maintain organized displays, stock shelves, and rotate merchandise to ensure product availability and visual appeal.
- Transaction processing:Accurately operate the point-of-sale system to process customer purchases, handle returns, and accept payments.
- Store upkeep:Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including tidying up spills, straightening displays, and addressing any issues that may impact the customer experience.
- Cash handling:Accurately handle cash transactions, follow cash management procedures, and reconcile daily sales reports.
