Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading tasks.

Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles.
• Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Follow designated routes for efficient delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including invoices and delivery confirmations.
• Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading heavy items.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Assist in moving items as needed within the warehouse or delivery locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in commercial driving or courier services preferred.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving items.
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools is beneficial.
• Previous experience with loading/unloading processes is advantageous.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
