Summary:
Serves as a member of an Application and/or Clinical Informatics team in the implementation and ongoing support of multi-service software applications used at ANTHC. The team may be specific to an ANTHC Division, across ANTHC including ANMC, and including ATHS sites as per established agreements.
Responsibilities:
With general supervision:
Provides implementation and support for multi-service software packages automating the capture of information and its subsequent retrieval. Addresses integration issues with other software packages and suggests/recommends changes based on previous experience and knowledge.
Periodically reviews system setups with each service/department for accuracy and completeness. Analyzes and diagnoses problems and implements solutions per departmental/organizational procedure.
Provides training on current software applications as required or requested. Promotes an awareness of the importance of data validity and data security. Assists team members and the user community in data gathering and analysis. Remains current with regulatory changes impacting applications delivery.
Assists departments/customers with error identification and remediation. Assists in implementation of integrated software systems and provides support on related software modules.
Works with programmers and other HIT departments in testing of software, identifying software problems and requesting enhancements. Uses existing HIT processes, procedures, best practices, and software whenever possible into daily work.
Serves on assigned committees or special projects, contributing within area of expertise.
Establishes effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of user community personnel. Promotes an atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm and user participation with applications. Creates a positive environment for reporting application and/or system deficiencies and suggestions for system improvements and enhanced functionality. Promotes teamwork and participates as an active member of the team. Understands the mission vision and values and maintains the work environment to support.
Must display professional demeanor and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with system users, management and vendors.
Coordinates data management for the user community and manages contracted vendor relationships.
Monitors, reviews and remains current in software industry trends related to the application systems. Applies that knowledge and shares with team members. May train new staff members.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelors degree in informatics, computer programming, software engineering or related field. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
May be supervisory: Two (2) years experience in application support or related field. Proven ability to provide solutions in support of application users.
