Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium has a hiring preference for qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicants pursuant to P.L. 93-638 Indian Self Determination Act.

Summary:

Under limited supervision, provides advanced grants management assistance, coordinates grant reporting activities, and ensures effective financial management of grant programs.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates acceptance of Grants and Subawards. Reviews award terms and conditions .

Conducts Post award Kick off coordination meetings with all key stakeholders involved in awarded grants. Works with other divisions and/or departments to ensure that grant requirements are clearly defined and understood by process owners.

Compiles and maintains requirements and deadlines in schedule/file that all grant staff can view and track progress of ongoing grants, grant deliverables, and closeout activities and regularly provides status reports.

Coordinates with project managers, supervisors, and accountants, and other personnel as necessary to ensure compliance with granting agency regulations, including timely submission of grant deliverables. Assists Project managers with but not limited to Reporting, Amendments, Carryover/No Cost Extensions, Scope Modifications and Key personnel changes.

Coordinates with the Procurement & Contracting department to ensure Contract and Subawards funded with restricted revenue sources contain required terms and conditions.

Assists Internal Audit with review of programs for compliance with terms and condition of awards.

Facilitates the completion of internal and external requests for grant related information as needed, including audit and grant monitoring requests.

Obtains access to all Funding Portals, providing assistance as needed for uploading or updating information pertaining to the awards.

Expertly uses standard computer applications such as MS Excel, as well as ANTHC financial and reporting systems, to standardize and improve departmental operations and tracking.

Coordinates routine training for Grant recipients and Financial Compliance staff.

Develops and assists in maintaining an electronic filing system for all grant documents and reports.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

· Knowledge of Alaska Native culture and the Alaska Tribal Health System preferred.

· Knowledge of business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.

· Ability to compile letters, forms and various information as required.

· Knowledge of standard regulations and principles of grant programs.

· Ability to lead productive meetings.

· Knowledge of standard budgeting and budget analysis.

· Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 – Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.

· Skill in working independently.

· Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.

· Skill in the design and layout of technical documents and merging text and graphics.

· Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.

· Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with internal and external entities.

· Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications, including Excel, Power point, Word and other office and/or virtual conferencing applications as required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

A Bachelor’s degree in health, public health, business, public administration, social or biosciences, technical communications, or related discipline. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

Non-supervisory – Three (3) years of grants management or grants compliance experience in public or private fields. Experience with federal/state/foundation grant administration requirements and processes and experience in submission of grant reports to Federal and State funding agencies. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
