Who are we? An Introduction
Alaska Village Electric Cooperative (AVEC) is a unique electric generation and distribution cooperative, serving 59 communities across Alaska.
Our operation spans 46 small, isolated grids relying on a mix of diesel, wind, and solar generation to power 11,513 meters and maintain 515 miles of distribution line.
Day to day as a Wind Turbine Technician
As a new Wind Turbine Technician at Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, you can expect hands-on training and mentorship to familiarize yourself with the daily tasks.
You will also assist in performing safety inspections and documenting maintenance activities to uphold the integrity of our operations.
