Job Description

• The primary responsibility of the Pain Management Coach in the Emergency Department is to identify/screen patients with painful conditions who meet criteria for Non-Pharmacological Therapy as well as administer established non-pharmacological interventions such as music therapy and an iPad-based mindfulness application.
• Will identify patients who are at risk for Opioid Use Disorder and refer to the pain board or addiction medicine consult as needed.
• Will participate in research activities, including data collection, database management, and producing some data reports.
• Will screen patients to identify those who meet criteria for nerve block pain intervention.
• Will set up, clean, and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment required for administering alternative to opioids therapies.
• Will screen patients to identify those who meet criteria for nerve block pain intervention.
• Will complete and maintain education/certifications required for this role.
• Participate in scheduled meetings to review interventions and collected data.
• Some travel (50 mile radius) required

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with direct patient care in a hospital, clinic or EMS setting

Salary Range: $21.78/hr - $34.85/hr
