Albion College invites applications for the Accounting Analyst/Student Service Center Specialist position. The Accounting Analyst will conduct general financial accounting and reporting duties as well as conduct a broad range of frontline support duties for additional areas within the College, such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Community Living, Advising, and others. This position will prepare and process journal entries as well as assist in the completions of reconciliations and reporting as needed. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. Must have the ability and appropriate knowledge to relay accurate and thorough information in a respectful and courteous manner. Will provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers of the College, in a way that reinforces the Mission, Vision, and Values of Albion College. This position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity through critical and compassionate communication and strategic outreach efforts to various students, faculty and staff (e.g., historically under-represented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA students, LGBTQ students).
FLSA Classification: Salaried /Non- Exempt
Employment Status: At-Will
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or other related field. (Specific Related Experience could be considered at a 2:1 rate of Experience vs Years of Education).
- Two or more years experience in an accounting, business, higher education, or customer service role. (Additional Education beyond the Associate’s Level could substitute at a 1:1 rate.)
- Demonstrated experience with accounting related technology and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service.
