Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products that meet their needs.
• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, handling cash transactions with precision.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, product features, and store policies to effectively assist customers.
• Manage stock levels by restocking shelves, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring the sales floor is visually appealing.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Utilize basic math skills to process transactions accurately and manage cash handling responsibilities.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in cash register operation and familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette for customer interactions.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management.
• Basic math skills are essential for handling cash and processing payments effectively.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing the customer shopping experience.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.03 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
