Join Aldrich as an Assistant General Counsel and support the day-to-day operations of our In-House Legal Department. This part-time 20 hour per week role is an integral part of our legal team, offering the opportunity to draft, review, analyze, and interpret a wide range of legal contracts. You will play a key role in overseeing litigation, managing internal governance policies, and fostering relationships with outside counsel. Requirements

You’ll Get a Chance To

  • Draft, review, analyze, and interpret a wide range of legal contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and protecting organizational interests.
  • Manage and oversee aspects of litigation, including coordination with outside counsel to effectively represent the company's legal position.
  • Administer internal governance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Foster productive relationships with outside counsel to ensure high-quality legal advice and representation in specialized areas.
  • Review annual minutes and assist with the preparation of retiring partner and new partner documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all legal matters.

What You Bring to the Team

  • A law degree with 3-7 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal experience, with an active license to practice law in at least one state.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
  • Self-starter who can see a project through to completion with adaptability and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to analyze information and draw logical conclusions.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in partnership law preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold organizational values, including respect and integrity.

At Aldrich, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensations decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each candidate. The compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons. Aldrich makes internal equity a consideration in all pay decisions. A reasonable estimate of the current range for the part time position is $70,000-90,000.

What You Should Know

This is a part-time 20 hour per week position with flexible scheduling options. Our standard office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. Hybrid options available, and in-office presence may be required.
