What You’ll Do: Provides clinical psychology services, collaborating with psychiatrists and treatment review team in diagnosis and treatment planning by performing the following duties:
- Interprets clinical information and evaluation results to pertinent team members and caregivers.
- Completes psychological evaluations within 45 days, or in accordance with MCO contract when applicable.
- In interactions with internal/external customers, clinician demonstrates understanding of systems.
- theory, cultural diversity, self-determination and self-awareness issues.
- Provides regular and consistent therapy to clients and families.
- Service plans reflect thorough discharge planning from point of admission through discharge.
- Performs restrictive intervention orders (if within the psychologist’s scope of practice)
- Follows restraint/seclusion policies for response and documentation during on-call duties.
- Oversees service planning that is individualized, current, and addresses applicable problems.
- Other relevant paperwork such as discharge notes and progress notes are complete and timely.
- Applies knowledge of child growth and development, child psychopathology and evidence-based practice.
- Master's degree or doctorate in psychology.
- NC licensure as a practicing psychologist or psychological associate.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
