ALEXIS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Technical Designer to lead the Technical Design Team from development through production. This individual will oversee a high-performing team that ensures exceptional fit, quality construction, and brand alignment. The Senior Technical Designer is a key contributor to shaping and executing the department's strategy for fit, sizing, product construction, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Manage the overall Technical Design strategy, operations, and methods, driving productivity and accuracy while adhering to strict production timelines. Mentor and guide the Technical Design team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Fit & Quality Management: Oversee fittings, providing clear and timely feedback to ensure accuracy in corrections. Maintain fit continuity and brand integrity through the use of blocks (as needed) and specification standards within designated product categories. Execute the design and fit intent into bulk production while upholding brand aesthetics and quality standards.
- Technical Excellence: Review and refine tech packs to ensure comprehensive and accurate information is provided to overseas factories. Solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. Establish and maintain fit protocols and standards for the brand.
- Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication with internal departments and external vendors. Maintain daily communication to monitor and ensure production remains on schedule.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance product quality, fit, and operational effectiveness. Drive innovation in construction techniques, materials, and technical methods.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Minimum AA or certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, or Pattern making. 8-10 years of technical design experience in apparel, with management experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in pattern making, grading, construction, and fit for complex and varied products. Specialist in fit and construction standards, with deep knowledge of manufacturing methods. Experience with product pipeline processes and cross-functional roles.
- Skills & Abilities: Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines with a sense of urgency. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to assess, mentor, and develop talent within the team. Organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in technical tools, including Illustrator, Gerber, Lectra, PDM, Tradestone, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
