Patient Advocate
Job Summary
The Patient Advocate is a key member of the team and works closely with the Advocate Manager and VP of Client Services and other members of the clinical team to answer healthcare benefits related questions and guide patients to high value healthcare. The Advocate is responsible for communicating with patients, their families and caregivers, insurance companies, financial institutions, and patients regarding medical care. The Advocate provides patient education to patients regarding their health status and financial aspects of the plan.
Core Responsibilities
·Provides patient education to patients regarding their health status and financial aspects of the benefit plan.
·Facilitates communication between patients, their families, and financial institutions. Must be able to write crisply, accurately and with good grammar.
·Documents all interactions between the patient and our company.
·Maintains a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
·Collaborates with all departments to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.
·Provides support to ensure the smooth running of the clinical program.
·Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral) to effectively communicate with patients, families, insurance companies, and other key stakeholders.
·Must have excellent organization skills to effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment.
·Must have excellent computer skills to use our contact management system
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
