As a Certified Diabetes Educator, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of care and empower patients to effectively manage their diabetes.
Responsibilities:
- Pediatric Diabetes Education:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive diabetes education programs tailored specifically for pediatric patients and their families.
- Provide individualized education sessions focusing on diabetes management, monitoring, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Assessment and Care Planning:
- Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients with diabetes to understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and developmental aspects of pediatric diabetes management.
- Patient Support and Counseling:
- Offer ongoing support and counseling to pediatric patients and their families, addressing psychological and emotional aspects of living with diabetes.
- Facilitate group sessions to foster peer support and share best practices among pediatric patients and their caregivers.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Regularly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of diabetes management plans for pediatric patients.

Pay: $30.27 - $51.46 per hour
