Overview

We are seeking an Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our client, a family medicine doctor in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our client has served the Corpus Christi community for over 41 years and is looking for a part-time LVN/LPN to assist patients. You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients that require substantial and specialized nursing care including medication administration, wound care, therapeutic treatments, and skilled teaching as ordered and indicated.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
• Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
• Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients' charts.
• Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.
• Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Valid LVN/LPN License in state of practice
• Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience required 
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Valid CPR Certification
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 9AM – 12PM occasional afternoons as needed
