What You’ll Do As a Quality Engineer, you’ll be part of Allegion Access Technologies, Automatic Doors. The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards outlined in the QMS. The position will involve routine data analysis and reporting of quality metrics, nonconformances, and supplier quality Job Description: Champions corrective action teams. Represents Stanley with the customer. Reviews & develops documentation (flow, Control Plan, inspection paperwork). Optimizes process controls including SPC. Proactively reduces risk through rigorous FMEA. Supports APQP. Conducts Layered Process and other internal audits. Participates in Sub-Supplier development. Supports customer audits/visits and third-party audits. Deploys lean manufacturing principles and methods. Designs & evaluates gauge and fixtures (MSA). Reviews and disposes of non-conforming material. Communicates with manufacturing, purchasing and other departments for resolution of issues. Provides informal guidance to new team members Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgement and precedents Impacts quality of won work and the work of others on the team Works with guidelines and policies Explains complex information to others Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or an Associates degree with and addition 3 years in manufacturing or quality, in lieu of degree. 2 years’ experience in the Quality field. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ETQ (Excellence Through Quality) software. Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9001. Experience performing internal ISO/AS audits. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification – preferred, Other Continuous Improvement platforms, such Kaizen, RedX, etc. also acceptable.
