Engineering Technician

SUMMARY 

The Engineering Technician at Terra Sonic International assists design engineers and production with integrating new designs and revisions seamlessly into the production process of precision-engineered Sonic Drill Rigs and Sonic Tooling.  A successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of engineering drawings and production processes. This understanding will be used to update and create BOM’s to document rig builds and revise drawings to drive continuous improvement within rig builds.  The primary measurement of success is the overall satisfaction of Terra Sonic’s customers.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Technical – Job Specific 

• Review drawings before they are released into production.
• Make drawing revisions to aid production with form, fit, and finish.
• Enter parts and Bill of Material (BOM)’s in ERP system.
• Update and create Operator’s Manuals.

 Communications

• Reads and comprehends instructions and correspondence; asks appropriate questions and performs the instructed task.
• Effectively and respectfully communicates with supervisor and coworkers in verbal and written formats.
• Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Influences and encourages a free flow of information between employees and management.

 Documentation

• Completes all required documentation in a coherent, legible and timely manner.
• Produce accurate, legible documentation using the format and content prescribed by the company.
• Maintain properly executed documentation as required for each job by the customer and TERRA SONIC INTERNATIONAL
