What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator I position at Alliance Water Resources?
Alliance Water Resources is a growing water and wastewater contract operations company with an open Operator I position in Cape Girardeau, MO.
This is semi-skilled and skilled work involving the maintenance, repair, and operation of water facilities and related equipment. The work is performed under general supervision with the ability to perform tasks independently.
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts that will include weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Performs the operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment including drinking water treatment facility related equipment.
- Assists in responding to client, customer, or agency complaints or inquiries; recommends improvements to eliminate problems.
- Performs inspections on plant operations and activities including equipment, maintenance, and safety related issues; recommends replacements and specifications for new equipment
- Participates in related professional association activities; stays knowledgeable of new developments in materials, equipment, and processes to ensure effective and efficient operation of the systems.
- Maintains positive relationships with co-workers, clients, customers, and vendors.
- Assures proper safety standards and precautions are followed and that all safety equipment is available and in good working condition according to company policy and equipment manual.
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license

- Will be expected to obtain a water treatment license
