Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credit Manager to oversee our credit operations and ensure the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of credit policies, financial concepts, and customer service principles. As the Credit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting sales efforts while protecting the company's financial assets
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and enhance cash flow
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients using financial data analysis
- Collaborate with sales and operations leadership to establish credit limits for clients
- Generate and send invoices and statements to customers
- Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments
- Resolve disputes and negotiate payment arrangements with customers
- Initiate collections effort when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions using our accounting software and process payments through system
- Develop and maintain relationships with customer accounts
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding their accounts and resolving any issues that arise
- Prepare regular reports on the status of AR and present findings to management
- Conduct periodic reviews of credit policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- General data entry and maintenance
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit management or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail and exceptional organization skills
- Ability to problem solve without constant supervision
- Ability to effectively work with sales and operations teams
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficient in computer programs such as Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and general accounting software – the right candidate will be trained on Q Floor software
This is an in-person position, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm (with flexibility to work occasional weekend hours if needed)
