Job Overview:The Vice President of Construction will lead and oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to drive the success of multifamily renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Strategic Planning and Leadership:

* Develop and implement construction strategies aligned with company goals.

* Lead and mentor the construction team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

* Collaborate with executive leadership to set and achieve organizational objectives.

* Project Management:

* Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multifamily renovation projects.

* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

* Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.

* Implement and monitor project management processes and tools.

* Quality and Compliance:

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

* Establish and enforce quality control procedures and inspections.

* Address and resolve any construction-related issues or disputes.

* Team Development:

* Recruit, train, and retain top talent in the construction department.

* Provide ongoing professional development and performance feedback to team members.

* Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

* Stakeholder Management:

* Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.

* Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.

* Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor performance.

* Financial Oversight:

* Monitor project financial performance and implement cost-control measures.

* Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership.

* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

* Innovation and Technology:

* Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

* Implement innovative construction methods and technologies to improve project outcomes.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the multifamily renovation sector.

* Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renovation projects.

* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

* Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.

Physical Demands:

* Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

* Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor construction sites.

Work Environment:

* Primarily office-based with regular visits to construction sites.

* Fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
