What you get to do:
- Drive and deliver chill and frozen product regionally in the Western states.
- Current territory includes: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, California, and Arizona.
- Represent Alpine as an ambassador of customer service and excellence.
- Engage third party assistance with delivery unloading when necessary.
- Manage licensing, medical certifications, hours of service and mandatory DOT regulations.
Skills you possess:
- Licensed and Trained Truck Driver to drive a Semi Tractor
- Able to pull trailers in a safe manner
- Abide by roadway speed limits and laws
- Perform Pre-trip inspections
- Adhere to hours of service rules
- Monitor refrigerated trailer and load temperatures
- Maintain all trip and load documents
- Deliver and pick up product in a timely manner
- Professional behavior and clean attire when representing Alpine
- Keep tractor clean, sweep out trailers
- Constant communication with Transportation Supervisor
- Timely submittals of required documentation such as Driver Sheets, Load info, etc
You will be expected to:
- Drive in inclement weather
- Possess strong safety skills and awareness while driving
- Have forklift experience, preferred but not required
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Possess professional Customer Service Skills
- Maintain a Class A CDL with acceptable MVR and PSP
- Minimum of 1 year of recent verifiable experience as a Truck Driver
- Successful passage of Road Test
- DOT Medical Card / Certification
- Enrolled in FMCSA - Clearing House
- Successful passage of DOT pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, medical examination and criminal background check.
