We are looking for at home caregivers that assist clients in a professional and compassionate manner. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. If you have a family member or friend in search of home care, then bring them over and we can hire you to work for them!! It can be a very satisfying and rewarding job, since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are thankful for high quality assistance. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. TO QUALIFY FOR $14.25 OR ABOVE START PAY YOU MUST WORK 12 HOUR WEEKEND (morning or overnight) SHIFTS WITH AN EXTENSIVE CARE CLIENT.
Responsibilities
- Help remind clients to take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients with physical therapy exercises
- Help plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate

- Outstanding communication and personal skills
Qualifications
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and families
- Knowledge of first aid and patient observation techniques
- Familiarity with assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Experience in group home or assisted living environments is a plus
- Background in long-term care or social work is a plus
