We are searching for a Superhero Dental Receptionist! Altoona Pediatric Dental is a state of the art growing practice and we are now accepting applications for a full-time Dental Receptionist. This position is available for enthusiastic individual w/excellent people skills! Professional and positive attitude a must! Experience with Eaglesoft Dental Software is a major plus.

Are you looking for a position 5 days a week with an amazing group of supporting staff? We are looking for one outstanding receptionist to add to our team of winners. Our patients are awesome and our team is excited to meet you! You’ll be part of a special team who truly takes pride in providing the best possible patient care at each and every visit!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients
  • Register new patients according to established office protocols
  • Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
  • Verify and update patient information
  • Enter all relevant patient information into data system
  • Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
  • Answer and manage incoming calls
  • Respond and comply to requests for information
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
  • Check daily appointment schedule
  • Arrange patient charts for next day appointments
  • Fill in cancellations and no-shows
  • Organize referrals to other medical specialists
  • Dispatch records appropriately
  • Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing emails
  • Maintain a professional reception area
