Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors.
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or social events.
- Monitor vital signs as needed and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Support clients with dementia care by providing a calming presence and structured activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is beneficial.
- Familiarity with meal preparation and dietary needs for various health conditions.
- Understanding of dementia care principles and hospice care practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
