Ambler Counseling Center is Hiring a Psychologist Near Ambler, PA

Potential Role Responsibilities

  • Complete assessment and evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
  • Apply appropriate evaluation techniques to determine the appropriate type of treatment for each client.
  • Maintain a weekly schedule of 20 client hours, utilizing a hybrid model of in-person and telehealth sessions based on the clients’ preferences and needs.
  • Apply appropriate evaluation techniques to determine the appropriate clinical recommendations and treatment for each client.
  • Develop a wide range of treatment plans, as appropriate to clinical data and impressions.
  • Documents therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Teach clients stress management techniques and other relevant therapeutic skills as appropriate to their treatment.
  • Maintain treatment records consistently and in a timely fashion.
  • Consult with referring therapists, supervisory team, and medical team at Ambler Counseling regarding clients as necessary.
  • Refer clients to other holistic providers at Ambler Counseling as an adjunct to psychotherapy, as necessary.
  • Attend bi-weekly group supervision meetings.
  • Be able to work with a team in a holistic practice.
  • Adapt to new and exciting opportunities in a growing practice.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Qualified candidates must be licensed as a psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Must be personable and able to be silly in front of kids.
  • Attention to detail and speed are required to thrive in this position.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and licensure requirements and standards.
  • Collaborative, team approach to conceptualizing client care recommendations based on presenting concerns.
  • Ability to analyze medical records and identified policies and procedures to formulate effective therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Ability to design and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
  • Flexibility and independence in schedule creation and availability.
  • Competence in areas of identified specialization or relevant training specific to modalities utilized.
