You will work with a dedicated group of professionals and will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the AAA's accounting information by managing various accounting tasks, recording and verifying transactions, managing financial reconciliations, contributing to monthly and yearly closings, assisting with budgeting and tax filings, providing explanations for variances to leadership, supporting audits through financial analysis, and collaborating with staff and management on accounting-related matters; ensures compliance with accounting standards, handles complex financial tasks and participates in projects aimed at enhancing financial processes and decision-making. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related discipline; 4-6 years progressive experience in a finance analyst or accounting role, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting and knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, arbitrators, mediators or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand and interpret statistical reports, data charts, and graphs.
Technology Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word; Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial applications, such as Oracle a plus; experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
