SUMMARY:
A working position which is responsible for direct testing procedures to ensure high quality products. Quality procedures and tests should encompass all phases of plant operation from receipt of raw materials through the manufacturing process and tests of finished products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include the following but is not limited to:
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
- Comprehension of GD&T and dimensional tolerance

- Calipers, micrometers, and indicator
- CMM / Sprint
- And other tools needed.
- Perform In-process inspections, bi-hourly checks, SPC and final inspections with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work with and report to the Quality Supervisor, processors, and members from other departments.

- Back track audit
- Creating hold ticket
- Containing material in hold cage
- Containing material at the warehouse
- Able to understand and implement customer specifications and requirements define by the Assistant Quality Manager
- Ability to run the CMM and other vision inspection systems without supervision.
- Handle basic monitoring of the press and workstations (audit)
- Complete paperwork accurately related to QMS requirements.
- Able to follow process procedures for Start-up, In-Process, Alarms, and Shutdowns.
- Conduct end of shift meeting with the following shift(s).

PREFFERED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of statistical process controls
- Ability to interpret blueprints and apply GD&T

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: The employee will be expected to complete paperwork accurately related to QMS requirements, perform audits of existing processes. Defects/scrap in production not to exceed internal goal of 2%.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The associate frequently is required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support production needs.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision (with or without corrective lenses), and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Production-paced operations to support customer (internal and external) demands. Decision making ability to support production as needed.
