Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will work closely with a team of accountants on all financial functions, specializing in oversight of accounts receivable ledgers, bank reconciliations, daily cash postings, and other accounting responsibilities related to daily deposits from our large portfolio of consumer auto loans. The ideal candidate will have a problem-solving attitude and excellent time management and communication skills.
Responsibilities:Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation and/or review of accounts receivable journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve any open items in a timely manner
- Facilitate audits by providing documentation to auditors as requested
- Prepare bank reconciliations monthly
- Perform other duties as assigned or as needs arise
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- 2-5 years Accounting experience preferred
- CPA or CPA eligible candidate preferred
