What this Position Does :
The Property Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing :
- Provide timely, accurate, and concise reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Month End Close
- Monthly Draws
- Help generate and review annual operating budgets.
- Oversee and maintain internal process to insure timely and accurate processing of transitions.
- Prepare and Review all lender escrow draws.
- Review Invoices
- Oversee accounting function / reporting for portfolio assets and overhead company.
- Deposit Accounting
- Monthly Reporting and Reports to Accounting Manager.
- Miscellaneous duties as required.

What Education and / or Experience You Will Bring to the Table : Bachelor’s Degree preferred or one to three years’ related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills and / or Office Equipment Knowledge : Word processing, Yardi, proficient in Excel ability to use calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, key machine.
Communication Skills Involved with the Position : Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customer, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for this position.
Analytical Abilities this Person Will Bring to the Table : Ability to make and implement decisions under conditions of risk and or uncertainty.
Physical Demands Required : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type on computer as well as talk and hear on the telephone.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Corporate Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
