A growing transportation company is seeking an organized individual to fill the role of Finance Assistant. This position requires a motivated candidate who is responsible for overseeing various tasks while assisting the overall efficiency of the Accounting & Finance Department. While in a fast-paced environment, the Finance Assistant will implement solutions while handling day-to-day issues presented in the transportation industry.
Responsibilities:
• Review and prepare invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring timely payment from clients.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment.
• Resolve billing issues, such as discrepancies or disputes, by communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and complete billing records and reports.
• Complete weekly vendor reconciliations
• Review and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Dispute invalid invoices
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendor representatives
• Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations and policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
• Intermediate Excel skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time efficiently
• Transportation experience a plus
• TMS and/or ERP software experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team
