Position Summary:

Responsible for executing all card functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of assigned duties. Plays a key role in solidifying the Credit Union’s position of becoming our members’ primary financial institution by maximizing opportunities to sell products and services while providing outstanding service to build member satisfaction, loyalty and depth of relationship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes all requests from members and internal departments for debit and credit card products and services and relevant promotions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Processes Instant Issuance card production, balancing and technical support for retail branches.
  • Researches, processes and administers to full resolution all card service functions generated by inquiries from members and internal departments within established service standards.
  • Restructures Visa credit cards as identified by Collections.
  • Actively cross-sells Credit Union products and services and acts as a resource of information to educate internal departments and members on the features and benefits of our products and services, exceeding the member’s expectations and building long-term member relationships.
  • Recommends changes to improve processes and resolve recurring variances.
  • Works with Manager, Card Services to cross train in functions throughout the department.
  • Processes bankruptcies and deceased accounts within established federal and state guidelines.
  • Provides daily accounting sheets identifying posting of payment corrections, fee rebates, and fees assessed.
  • Reviews daily reports for accuracy of member information and performs quality checks on all maintenance of Visa credit cards to ensure completeness of information.
  • Provides backup assistance in understaffed situations, manages mail distribution, and works with team to ensure all departmental duties and goals are met.
  • Works closely with other departments to conduct testing and review of accounts pertaining to any system upgrades, new product development, or conversions to a new vendor.
  • Produces Instant Issuance debit cards for in-plant branch distribution to the member, monitors Instant Issuance blank card stock, provides blank stock and ribbon fulfillment to branches, assists branches with Instant Issue machine technical support, and assists Member Contact Center with ATM/Debit Card related problems.
  • Performs related duties and special requests as assigned.

Qualification Requirement:

Education and/or Experience:

A high school diploma is required; Associate’s degree preferred. One to three years of banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must have a working knowledge or familiarity and the ability to learn the following electronic systems: teller system, online banking Visa site, Instant Issue of debit cards, credit and debit card admin site, debit admin site, debit card signature transaction site, cold storage of Credit Union documents and reports, online debit card dispute entry system, daily accounting reports, and other systems as new functions or changes develop.
