What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities - Maintenance Technician position at American Place Casino?
Performs routine and custom maintenance jobs such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform excellent internal/external guest service;
- Physically respond to emergency situations; i.e., fire, power outage, gas leak, water leak, or any other emergency situation or repair;
- Service and repair air handler units;
- Install and repair plumbing;
- Repair and install new or damaged equipment, such as: ceiling repairs due to water leaks, lighting repairs, fixtures, kitchen and other equipment;
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner;
- Perform preventative maintenance as needed;
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School/GED or Tech School degree

1-2 years related experience or special training in all areas of maintenance;
Preferred:
- Bilingual preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record;
- HVAC and electrical certification preferred
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Casino environment: exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise, may be exposed to extreme temperatures
- Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- Carry and climb ladders
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 lbs
