What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Shift Manager position at American Place Casino?
Responsible for the overall management and performance of the slot department. Ensure the security and accountability of slot funds. Review and evaluate slot department employees and ensure all policies and procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
● Excellent internal/external guest service;
● Submit Internal Controls revisions to streamline Slot Operations;
● Constantly evaluate system of internal controls and make appropriate recommendations to improve security;
● Supervise, hire, schedule, train, evaluate, coach, and counsel slot department employees to increase employee productivity;
● Maintain knowledge of competitive slot practice;
● Perform minor repairs to gaming devices, including but not limited to: clearing jams, resetting machines, and verifying jackpots;
● Accurately complete written departmental forms and records detailing payment of jackpots, cash coin transactions, machine malfunctions, etc. in a timely fashion;
● Maintain secure key controls at all times;
● Respond to and resolve guest disputes/complaints;
● Investigate and resolve discrepancies;
● Evaluate and participate in the approval of guest credit;
● Assist the Director of Slot Operations in preparation of the department budget and perform the duties of the Director in his/her absence;
● Perform slot department performance analyses, operations analyses, and other related functions;
● Other reasonable duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
● High School/GED preferred with 2-4 years related experience/training or a combination of education and experience.
● Previous supervisory/management experience
Preferred:
Bilingual a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Computer spreadsheets and word processing knowledge; proficiency with AutoCAD is desired.

May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors such as second-hand smoke, bright lights and excessive noise.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

$60,000 - $98,000
