What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal - Contract Manager position at Amerifleet Transportation, Inc.?

We are looking for a Contract Manager or Paralegal looking to advance their career. You will primarily work with in-house counsel and senior leaders to manage our contracting processes. In addition, you will support legal operations around litigation, compliance, real estate, repossession, and insurance functions. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: Based on Experience.
What will you be doing?
- Managing the contract life-cycle of a wide array of customer contracts, leases, and other agreements from initial request, review, and negotiation to signature collection, and on-going administration.
- Administering all aspects of a contract lifecycle management (“CLM”) system including integrations, design, and maintenance.
- Coordinating with various departments to ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Building relationships with various departments and obtaining necessary contract approvals and signatures.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and process improvement.
- Tracking and report various contract metrics including expiration dates, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Managing contract templates and assisting in drafting new agreements.
- Familiarizing yourself with our insurance program and being able to answer questions, obtain certificates of insurance, and assist with insurance renewals.
- Tracking and managing service of process.
- Assisting with corporate secretarial filings and helping track various permits/licenses.
- Working with outside counsel and internal groups to facilitate litigation holds, discovery, and responding to various legal proceedings.
- Researching case law, regulatory issues, and statutes as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree, associates degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience administering a CLM system, DocuSign, and other contract management tools.
- 7-10 years of significant and substantive experience as a paralegal, primarily supporting contracts, or as a contract manager in a commercial setting.
- Experience administering SharePoint or similar data sharing platforms.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Experience in preparing contracts.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Investigative mind and strong research skills.
- Personal responsibility to manage change and complex projects.
- Regular In-office requirement with opportunities to work from home
