About the Position
The Healthcare Air Cargo Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify and secure new customers and grow Ameriflight’s presence in the time-sensitive Healthcare and Life Sciences sector, including but not limited to Radiopharmaceuticals, organ transplants, & medical equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with existing customer base to grow revenue, develop key relationships and deploy strategic initiatives in key and/or new markets
- Identify and deliver new customer acquisitions and market penetration across the full Healthcare and Life Sciences industry
- Develop and implement marketing, PR and social media strategies in coordination with the Director of Communications to promote the company’s products and services to prospective customers
- Work with VP of Business Development to price out potential opportunities, create proposals, negotiate contract terms and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide feedback and general management oversight to air charter specialists on healthcare flights
- Work with Director of Safety on DOT SP 15378 implementation and oversight
- Audit customer paperwork for inaccuracies and corrections, specific to critical care cargo
- Travel up to 35% of the time for customer visits, conferences and workshops.

- Must have thorough working knowledge and 5 years’ experience in the Healthcare air cargo sector / Supply Chain industry, including knowledge of current industry regulations.
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills and be capable of working both independently and in a team environment
- Must be willing to work varied hours, if required, and expect on-call duties in order to meet the demands of a 24-hour, 7-day per week flight schedule and operation
- Must be able to work efficiently and professionally in stressful situations when they arise
- Previous Aviation Sales experience preferred
- Education: A college degree is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria
