Job Summary:
The HR Director will oversee all aspects of human resources management within our manufacturing operations. This role will develop and implement HR strategies, ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations, manage talent acquisition and retention, and foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Oversee and manage all core HR functions: recruitment, talent management, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, and compliance.
- Develop and implement HR policies and programs that support manufacturing operations.
- Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts, grievances, and performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Partner with managers, production leaders, and senior management to address workforce challenges.
- Develop and implement programs for employee engagement, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Create training programs and development programs to enhance technical skills and leadership capabilities.
- Drive initiatives to support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
- Analyze HR metrics to drive data-based decisions for operational improvement.
- Lead change management initiatives and support continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications:
- Master degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
- At least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR (preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient in both English and Spanish.
Skills:
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Employee Relations: Strong conflict resolution and relationship management skills.
- Legal Compliance: In-depth knowledge of federal, state (Florida), and local employment laws.
- Change Management: Proficiency in driving organizational change initiatives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with executives and employees at all levels.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Experience developing and supporting DEI initiatives.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems like ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project Management: Ability to manage complex HR projects and initiatives effectively.
- Data Analysis: Competence in analyzing HR metrics to guide decision-making.
- Bilingual Skills: Spanish or Creole proficiency may be a plus, given Miami's demographic.
