One of the largest food and beverage distributors in the United States is looking to add a dedicated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of diesel-powered vehicles in the Southwest Houston area. This is a 3rd shift position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics. RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a 3rd shift position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in diesel trucks.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on diesel-powered delivery trucks and other fleet vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on repair status.
- Overhaul or replace worn or damaged parts using precision instruments, as well as power tools.
- Read blueprints/wiring diagram to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to execute repairs.
- 1 year of related mechanical experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program or vocational school is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to work within the 3rd shift hours. 10 PM – 6 AM
