Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, positive and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk of our dental office.
Responsibilities:
- Checking insurance eligibility and benefits
- Answering office communication (phone calls, emails, text messages etc.)
- Coordinating patient treatment and managing the schedule for efficiency
- Receive patient payments, record them in the patient management software and issue receipts
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations efficiently.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries
- Utilize electronic health record system (Oryx) for patient management.
- Collaborate with the doctor and other staff members to ensure seamless operations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, good with numbers, and has strong phone and interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone who is friendly and works well with a small group and we are willing to train the right candidate!
Our office is open from Tuesday to Thursday with the following patient hours:
Tuesday and Thursday: 10 am-6 pm
Wednesday: 9 am-5 pm
We expect our front desk staff to arrive 45 min prior to patient hours to make sure the office is prepared for the day.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (Compensation commensurate to experience)
