Business Systems Analyst 

Location: Remote (while on contract)

Duration: Contract to Hire. If converted this resource will be required to work a hybrid schedule

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced System Analyst to perform data and system analysis, operationalize controls, and support data management capabilities for Compliance, Legal, Audit and Regulatory projects. This role will provide leadership and deep domain expertise for data from multiple administrative systems in the FinTech ecosystem (Wealth Management / Life Insurance / Annuity / Asset Management) to internal teams and external regulators in a timely manner. Successful candidates have extensive experience working with data analytics, data governance, and data protection with strong SQL developer experience.
Required Skills

• 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, systems analysis, and software development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization
• Strong problem-analysis and problem-solving skill with attention to accuracy and detail
• Strong ability to model current and future state business processes and data domains/entities
• Strong hands-on experience with:

• SQL (5 years of proven experience)
• Database Warehouse, Data Technologies, And Data Tools
• Developing insights from the analysis of the data
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills including functions, formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros

Experience with:

• Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Reporting, And Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Qlik, etc.)
• Experience in Agile methodologies would be a plus
• Experience with Hadoop HiveQL and Ambari Hive would be a plus
• Experience with AWS and programming languages would be a plus
• Data and process modeling techniques and tools to represent current state and future state design and concept of operations
• Developing insights from the analysis of data
• Supporting various data management tools and technologies including but not limited to data cataloging, data quality/profiling, and data lineage
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, build relationships, and influence a community of data, risk, or IT professionals across lines of business and functional areas
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple simultaneous priorities
• Ability to document technical processes, procedures, and solutions
• Ability to think end-to-end, connect moving parts, and anticipate and manage change impacts
• Ability to define and leverage metrics to drive performance and outcomes
• Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams
• Must be very organized and have excellent follow-up skills
• Must be team oriented to work collaboratively and customer focus
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services
• Experience with compliance and regulatory projects and rules would be plus
• Experience working in the Life Insurance, Annuities, Mutual Funds and Securities products would be plus

 Education
• BS in Computer Sciences/Engineering or equivalent experience
