SUMMARY
The Continuous Improvement Manager is the thought leader in implementing the Continuous Improvement and Sustainability (CIS) principles to enhance operational performance. The mission of the Continuous Improvement Manager is to help develop teams and individuals to solve problems and operate in a Lean manner with the goal of removing waste and unlocking trapped potential and capacity. Create and deliver training on the adoption and use of Lean tools and practices. Through improvement projects and kaizen events with other departments, accelerate the adoption of Lean and coach problem solving.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Champion the LEAN cause, implement and lead the Continuous Improvement and Sustainability (CIS) program.
· Organize and lead all Lean Kaizen events in Franklin, WI Facility and other ACIT locations as necessary.
· Establish and monitor Lean Continuous Improvement metrics with department managers.
· Continually work with supervisors and Cell leaders to ensure continual progress is being made in all production areas to affect LEAN systems and Culture.
· Lead the implementation of Lean culture to all administrative areas assessing the needs for Kaizen events and utilizing TBM training where necessary.
· Ensure 30-day Kaizen reviews are proactive and completed in a timely manner.
· Scheduling of follow-ups to all major continuous improvement events to ensure that all improvements have been sustained.
· Maintenance of Factory Strategy Deployment process and TTIs when applicable
· Support Policy Deployment and cascading KPI’s through MDI activities and leverage the CIS audit system to ensure sustainability.
· Maintain monthly factory metrics to demonstrate progress towards continuous improvement.
· Ensure all LEAN activity boards and records are current and updated throughout the factory.
· Ensure proper internal and external resources are available to properly implement Lean initiatives.
· Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
· Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures and regulations.
· Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· As a representative of management, supports the mission, vision, strategic plan, goals and management decision.
· Provides ongoing training to applicable staff to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance. Meets with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.
