ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize engineering principles to improve current process capability, efficiency and overall productivity in all areas of manufacturing and identify and develop a project deck of the yields process and material efficiencies to drive cost out of existing product. This engineer will also engage with our technology team to develop state of the art processes and production cells for newly developed products.

LOCATION

Onsite - St Marys, Pennsylvania

Essential Functions:

• Manage projects of varying complexity, determine project goals, track and maintain progress and evaluate outcomes
• Maintain and improve existing training processes throughout the facility and participate in the training of others.
• Monitor performance of equipment and manufacturing process
• Establish, maintain and review OEE metrics for key pieces of equipment
• Partner with automation to make improvements to current and new equipment
• Identify and validate second source raw materials and replacements for obsolete materials
• Review, update and maintain new and existing process instructions, PFMEA, control plans and other process documentation
• Participate in cross functional improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies
• Collect document and review nonconforming product
• Work with Quality engineering to provide timely solutions to quality related customer issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in engineering discipline or minimum of 5 years relevant experience in automated production processing
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge
• Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate plans and deliver timely results
• Work under pressure with high degree of accuracy and with frequent interruptions
• Demonstrated oral/written skills and ability to work cross functionally
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
