What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Manager position at Anavery Fine Foods?
Anavery Fine Foods is looking for a hardworking, responsible person to join our team as a retail manager on a growing, diversified livestock farm in Grand Traverse County. We’re seeking candidates to assist in managing our on-farm retail store, manage online sales, and pack/deliver wholesale orders. We raise a healthy herd of cattle, pigs, sheep, and chickens on 80 acres six miles from downtown Traverse City. We also distribute poultry, cheese and dairy products from other small local farms. Our farm’s mission is to produce great-tasting meat and eggs raised in a way that we can be proud of - we believe that Happy Animals Taste Better. We have a growing base of dedicated retail and wholesale customers and seek talented individuals to help us expand.
Our ideal candidate will learn a lot on our farm but should have:
- Experience in a customer-facing retail or restaurant environment.
- Ability to move heavy boxes.
- History of responsible driving.
- Aesthetic sense for creating/maintaining an inviting retail environment.
- Experience in e-commerce is a plus.
- Ability to work all/some Saturdays is a requirement.
- This is a good role for a stay-at-home parent or young retiree looking to work part time.
