Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse will provide direct patient care in emergency situations, assess patient conditions, administer medication, implement emergency protocols, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and prioritize patient conditions in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Implement emergency protocols and procedures to stabilize patients.
4. Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms.
5. Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
6. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
7. Participate in emergency preparedness and response training.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room nursing.
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
7. Knowledge of emergency room protocols and procedures.
8. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
9. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
