What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveyor position at Anderson, Eckstein and Westrick, Inc.?
We are looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction stakeouts, etc.
- Utilize GPS, robotic total stations, digital levels, surveying software, and other tools as needed.
- Utilize drones, scanners and other imaging devices for terrestrial imaging.
- Interpret maps, plats, construction plans, and specifications.
- Perform various survey calculations.
- Organize and maintain survey documentation.
- Conduct onsite inspections as needed.
- Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients.
- Assist Project managers with contract requirements.
- Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean work vehicle, in good condition.
- Assist in the training of interns.
Education/Experience:
- A high school education or equivalent is required, including a background in math, geometry and trigonometry.
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Experience with Trimble Survey Controllers, GPS, Robotic Total Stations
- Experience in land and/or construction survey
- Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
- Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements
- Demonstrated ability to identify sources of measurement errors.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather, walk long distances, and be able to carry heavy bulky equipment.
- Self-Motivated, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
