Veterinary Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinary technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in animal care, excellent technical skills, and a passion for client education. This role involves supporting veterinarians during procedures, maintaining high-quality patient care, and ensuring a seamless client experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
• Perform laboratory diagnostics, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
• Experience in animal catheterization techniques.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures.
• Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, nutrition, and preventive health.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the clinic’s management system.
• Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Provide compassionate care to pets and support to their owners during all stages of treatment.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 year’s experience in a veterinary technician role.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• A positive attitude and a passion for animal care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
