Job Summary
The maintenance helper in the oiler position is responsible for ensuring machine availability by means of keeping best machinery lubrication practices.
APEL Coburg is looking for a candidate who wants to get their foot in the door to maintenance and advance in the department (i.e. become a millwright or electrician).

- Independent capability of managing oiling and cleanup tasks.
- Basic math skills.
- Ensure that all machinery is properly lubricated.
- Administer oil analysis program.
- Respond to lubrication issues in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain stock of lubrication supplies
- Work closely with machine owners to resolve lubrication related issues.
- Ensure the correct lubricant is being used for specific applications as well as quantity applied.
- Utilizes CMMS to document work performed and request repairs as needed.
- Attend/Participate in maintenance crew meetings and other group functional meetings/training.
- Document fire system health checks.
- Daily cooling system operational checks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
